Domestic abuse can involve physical abuse; this is when the abuser causes harm to their partner or family member by physically abusing them or throwing objects at them. 
 
Physical harm isn’t the only way someone can be abused. Emotional, financial, and sexual are other forms of abuse. 
 
Women’s Aid defines domestic abuse as an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading and violent behaviour, including sexual violence, by a partner or ex-partner. 
 
No one deserves to be abused.
