Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all our followers and supporters. We have a number of things in the pipeline for 2019.

  • we are looking forward to getting the HWA Charity Shop well established this year as a great place to shop and donate  - if you would like to help out as a volunteer, we could really use your extra pair of hands so please get in touch
  • we hope to be able to give our nursery a full re-vamp - we are just waiting on the decision from the Tesco blue tokens to see how much we have to spend **fingers crossed**
  • we have been lucky enough to be chosen as one of Hymers College charities of the year
  • the White Ribbon campaign will continue
  • and, of course, we will still be providing refuge accommodation and outreach support for women and children experiencing domestic abuse including many drop-ins all over the Hull area - if you, or someone you know, needs our support - please do speak out and get in touch

Tesco Bags of Help winners

We were thrilled today to hear that we are the winner of the blue token collections in Hull and surrounding area stores from November and December.

We have been awarded an amazing £3974 for our nursery refurbishments

Thank you so much to everyone who popped their tokens in the collections for us, and to Tesco Community Team for the opportunity

Karen Prynn and Sam Houldsworth from the Tesco Community Team came to present the cheque and view the refurbished nursery with it's new wildlife theme curtains, rugs and cushions. With a fresh lick of paint, new seating area and new cupboards the nursery is a cheerful play space.
